Pentax Q 12.4 MP CMOS review

Pentax Q 12.4 MP CMOS review

Pentax Q 12.4 MP CMOS Sensor Kit with 8.5mm 1.9 AL [IF] Prime Lens and 3x Optical Zoom

The idea is to use a compact camera system in which the DLSR and packaging them in a smaller package. Heck, this is a small package with a lens, it really is a small compact camera. The lens is obviously a bit 'largest. It should be comfortable in a jacket pocket or briefcase. It 's smaller and lighter than the competition (I think GF3 or NEC-C3), may be meaningless, since all fit in your pocket or are intending to be in your pocket.

Okay, this is good enough so far, but the sensor (which of course is in a DSLR) is smaller than 1/2.3 inches, the same size as those found in the low-end compact cameras. You can have interchangeable lenses. The small sensor camera is good for its size. But it is also very small. This means that the sound is also clear to ISO 250 and are not able to go beyond ISO 800.

Thank Q 's F 1.9, has a very fast which allows the light of the two F GF3 or NEX-C3 2.5 F 2.8 lens and the image sensor used is stable. The combination has resulted in a respectable performance in low ISO brightness level.

Oh yes, the camera that falls flat on his face. Autofocus takes forever. (Few seconds), comes on for eternity. (At least four seconds) and a serious gap between the camera and confirm the actual exposure. Performance of a compact camera really. And this is, after updating the firmware. Video does not matter. But I am not an expert.

And many others.
- Very little.
- The objective is equivalent to a 47mm, Zoom, Fisheye ...
- A good
- Different from anything else out there.
- Performance of low illumination.
- A small sensor is in fact an interesting example of the lens. super-ultra-mega zoom - (30x or more).
- Choose from a Pentax DSLR.
- LCD 1080p with built-in stereo microphone.

Cons:.
- A small image sensor ...
- ... Leading to noise at high ISO.
- ... 1/2.3in to lock you into a world that may or may not have happened.
- The legacy of the camera ... is ..
- ... AF is slow and the slow shutter lag.
- Expensive.

So basically, I have some 'like this camera, but not for everyone. There is no compromise in the construction and focus, perhaps too much. miniaturization. For the money I seriously consider other options before jumping to wait for the Q and the second generation, when asked about general principles.
